Bio:
join the fight to stop drug war injustice http://www.november.org Mpiredwn is the new project from raven, formerly of international recording act Heaven Falls Hard. following his departure from Heaven, he took a brief hiatus to sort some personal affairs and then began drawing upon the influences of the 80's "goth" scene and working on some new material. upon completeion of some of the material, he began recruiting people to perform with. initially, the line up consisted of Brian on drums, Brooke on guitar, and Josh (also formerly of Heaven Falls Hard) on bass. after much deliberation, Brian was removed from the line up before the first show as the concept of a live drummer was completely abandoned...opting instead for drum sequences. after a few practices, Brooke opted out of the line up...also on very amiable terms...due to some scheduling conflicts and replaced by rave's former Tienanmon bandmate Gordon. and so began the line up that would carry the empire through their first few shows. and also began a minor realigning of the songwriting process. prior to gordon's induction into the line up, all of the material had been written strictly by raven. however, with his membership, more group collaborations would begin...the two of them working together on the compositions "poison garden" and "let's dance". once more, scheduling conflicts arose. with time constraints and practice schedules as they were, Josh approached the band about potentially bowing out...being unable to maintain the rigorous practice schedule that is necessary. with no animosity between any of the members, he played his final two shows with the band. At that point, Myke of Somnium7 was asked to join the band on a temporary basis as the new bassist. With less than a month until the next show, mpiredwn began a very rigorous practice schedule, perfecting the pre~existing set as well as working on some new material as (for the first time) a total collaborative effort. "Walk Away" was written during these sessions and has become a staple of live sets. as for the future, they are currently in the process of recording their debut album, "Poison Garden" and in search of a record label. they have played in multiple states on the east coast and shared the stage with some amazing talents, including national acts Machina and By All Means Necessary. being at home on the stage, they are currently trying to get out and play as many shows as possible and look forward to meeting each of you personally. . welcome to the empire.
